Algorithmically-Based on Earth's Crust Abundance
Oxygen, Iron, Gold, Radium, and More
NFT Digital Elements
Digital Elements (DE) is a completed NFT set created by a PhD scientist. The set was designed with Earth's elemental natural abundance in mind! There are 84 elemental tokens! Read more below.

About the Collection
A mathematical and algorithmic approach was used. All elements are already minted (no dilution).

An approach based on the earth's crust abundance ensures that some tokens are more rare – hence, more challenging to collect – than others.

Elemental rarity and the algorithm: Elements are found in the earth’s crust in differing quantities. The relative abundance was calculated for each element using known crust abundance estimates and, due to large discrepancies between some elements (ie. gold vs. oxygen), the relative abundance was then subjected to a logarithmic function (Eq. 1) to arrive at the final value. See the chart below for more information on NFT Digital Element availability.

Where TE = number of tokens of element E,
AE = abundance of element E in the earth’s crust, and
APa = abundance of protactinium (Pa), a lowly abundant element in the earth’s crust

More About the Collection
The most abundant element is oxygen, a rarer element is gold, and the rarest element in this set is radium. Using our formulas, we have minted 1,367 oxygen tokens, 550 gold tokens, and only 100 radium tokens. All tokens are available in the market for 0.01 ETH. Once all tokens are in circulation, the
market and holders set the elemental price.

First collectors to reach 25, 50, 75, and 84 distinct tokens receive awards. The first 15 to complete the set will be recognized on the blockchain with a final NFT.
